How much does Congress in Brazil?

Democracy has no price, but the Brazilian legislature is expensive. Last year, the expenses of the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Court of Audit (TCU) reached R $ 9 billion, an amount equivalent to the expenditure integrals six ministries: Culture, Fishing, Sport, Tourism, Environment and Foreign Relations.
This year, only the expenses of both legislative houses, excluding TCU should reach 8.5 billion. Thus, rain or shine, work or not their Excellencies, the Brazilian parliament each day will cost £ 23 million, or nearly one million per hour!
