Confucius is the Latinized form of Kongfuzi (or Kung Fu -Tze ) . Little is actually known about his life . The Thinker was born in the former princely state of Lu (now Qufu ) , descendant of the Kong clan . With his father's death , Confucius had to work to help support the house . It had a fine education, however .
He married at 19 and still young , he joined the administration of the principality , reaching , over time, the minister of justice. Later , disillusioned with politics, resigned and the city .
Confucius began to disseminate his teachings at the age of 50 years. Undertook long journeys . Traveling and talking , attracted many disciples , impressed by his wisdom and elevation of his character . His ideas have expanded across the country and throughout China .
From the Han dynasty ( 206 BC - 220 AD ) , many governments came to be inspired by the ideas of Confucius , for the organization of society .
The Confucian doctrine - Confucianism - are gathered in a volume entitled " Analects ," a collection of aphorisms that he would compound or rewritten from remote texts of Chinese civilization .
After long wandering , with about 70 years , Confucius returned to his homeland . Three years later , he died . The Temple of Confucius in Qufu City , Shandong Province in the current , became, through the ages , place of worship , although the philosopher have been condemned by the Communist Party after the Chinese Revolution . His philosophy still exerts enormous influence on Chinese thought and mindset these days .
